IMPROVED DURABILITY

Improved durability is key requirement in todays’ highly advanced engine designs that's why we employ precious metals such as Iridium and Platinum because they tick all the boxes when it comes to durability. They are extremely hard wearing materials with very high melting points and resistance to oxidation or fouling, much more so than nickel alloys making them an ideal choice for extending the service life of the spark plug.

IMPROVED IGNITION QUALITY

Employing precious metals such as Platinum or Iridium at the tips of the electrodes allows for a reduction in the diameter of the centre electrode by around 80%. Typically a nickel plug electrode will be 2.5mm whereas a precious metal plug will be between 0.6 and 0.4mm. By reducing the absorption of heat energy it improves ignition quality and reliability over the entire expected service life of the spark plug.
